My days have become a little busier as I stretch my calendar to include new commitments in an effort to embrace opportunities to grow. In these busier moments I have found a wealth of connection hidden in the overlooked minutes en route from here to there. Conversation fills the space of my car that music otherwise inhabits, my children’s inhibitions tucked just outside the perspective of my rearview mirror. Thoughts and concerns, questions and anecdotes, fears and hopes tumble like loose change from our pockets. Minutes of fragmented sentiments lend me segways to larger conversations another time. The unplanned space between commitments have become a piece of an unending dialogue that links each of us in simple, uncomplicated sharings.
