The sky today is gray. From indoors wayward strands of sunshine seem to beckon me outdoors. Conjuring an excuse to move beneath the sun I step into the promise of warmth only to be assaulted by cool gusts of wind forcing icy hands inside my coat. This restless cold that chases me indoors beneath blankets mocks my good humor, sending me scurrying further between the pages of a book while I wait for Spring to dust away the lingering traces of Winter.
You should file this under poetry. Lovely
Thank you. Recently a similar comment hinted at undercurrents of poetry in my sharings, leaving me to consider this corner of my thoughts.
We’re all waiting for spring! I cant wait to get back outside
Today there was a freckling of snowflakes and I would have sworn you could hear the tinkling of Mother Nature’s laughter.
