time

This fickle gauge of past and present with promises of days to come is not linear in experience. Anticipation circles memory even as we fight the tide of time to stretch one moment into many.
Today gray skies have draped the sun, hours running like raindrops on windowpanes and blurring the progress of time; one minute indiscernible from the next. Unfinished projects purposefully forgotten for sentimental indulgences of homemade sweetbread and play.
It is a sleepy day, one in which our dreams are comfortable companions of wakefulness and time circles in lazy, directionless loops to the calming rhythm of an inconvenient leak; an accidental metronome to the harmony of home.
wonderful blog!!
Thank you for a kindness that encompasses the eclectic collection of musings that have become a home of words.
My Pleasure and a great honor for me, Keep up with your elegant work!
Poetically put. Time appears cyclical to me, rather than linear. The seasons, the life cycles, day and night. The wheel of our lives. Cyclical.
Thank you, Andy. Poetic is high praise given your gift of prose.
And thank you Marie 🙂
