It is the quietest of days, a gentle spirit that bows to an unhurried pace; an inward attentiveness and outward gaze.
Gone is the restless fidgeting of childhood sermons against unyielding pews. In its place, crisp foot treads against windblown snow and the easy company of my canine companion.
On empty sidewalks of slumbering homes, along barren fields and woods still cloaked in snow,Β I list my blessings with a grateful heart.
Given to a private exercise of faith.
