There are moments that interrupt our expectations, challenge assumptions, and push us into uncertainty; they are uncomfortable, but necessary for conscious redirection. In these moments we stumble, sometimes falling; tearing at the tender places of our balance. We wrap ourselves in statements of strength, pressing against familiar comforts and often posturing false confidence in an effort to model a certainty that masks intimate doubts.

What if the most beautiful possibilities are hidden, misconstrued as misfortune? Today I am gathering my uncertainties and tending to fear with measures of hope; defining this moment with tenderness for the unknown.
